Twinklebotts - Nappies
FINALIST
Safe – Made from very good non-toxic materials. Made from viscose fluff, cotton and plant based plastics where applicable. Biodegrades to a high percentage within 120 days.
Responsible – 71% of the Twinklebotts nappy breaks down into the carbon cycle within 120 days, as tested and certified in Belgium. This was something the brand developed with the understanding that a major portion of the 114,000 cubic meters of landfill each year in Australia is made up of non-biodegradable baby nappies that take over 500 years to break down. The brand consistently strives to improve with ongoing research.
What our experts say…
The softness and sense of social responsibility – and the cute name – makes Twinklebotts appealing. That 114,000 cubic metres of landfill in Australia is filled with nappies that take 500 years to break down is devastating. That there are brands like Twinklebotts trying to address this is hugely reassuring.
Wherever we are in this country, we acknowledge Aboriginal and Torres Straight Islanders as the first inhabitants and the traditional custodians of the lands where we live, learn and work. We recognise their continuing connection to land, waters and culture, and we pay our respects to Elders past, present and emerging.
